JUNIOR LEAGUE OF AUGUSTA, GEORGIA HOSTS 58th ANNUAL ATTIC SALE
Giant Attic Sale hosted by League Members this Saturday
at Augusta Exchange Club Fairgrounds
WHAT: Junior League of Augusta, Georgia’s 58th Annual Attic Sale
WHEN: Saturday, March 6, 2010, 7 a.m. – 1 p.m. (Lines will be beginning to form at 6:00 a.m.)
WHERE: Augusta Exchange Club Fairgrounds, 303 Hale Street
WHY: A tradition begun in 1952, Attic Sale has grown to become one of Augusta’s most beloved fundraisers. All funds raised through the Annual Attic Sale are used to fund the community projects of the Junior League of Augusta, Georgia. Since its inception in 1925, the Junior League of Augusta has endeavored to build a better community by providing more than $1.5 million in donations and thousands of volunteer hours to the community. Now in its 80th year, the Junior League of Augusta continues to seek shared solutions to community issues by teaming with other charitable organizations and developing projects of its own.
VISUAL: Patrons of all backgrounds, ages, and races will browse and shop thousands of gently used items including children’s clothes, toys, furniture, electronics, household items, books, holiday decorations, and much more will be available for purchase at reasonable prices. A new feature of this year’s Sale is a department of “nearly new” adult clothing appropriate for work, church, and other similar functions. The doors open at 7:00 a.m., and a crowd always gathers early to be the first in line. The rush of shoppers at 7:00 a.m. is exhilarating as they break through the ribbon and begin shopping the 58th Annual Attic Sale.

Celebrating its 80th year, the Junior League of Augusta, Georgia was founded in 1925 as the Junior Workers, and accepted into the Association of Junior Leagues International in March 1929.
