Hickory Alive! July 16 The Extraordinaires!
Hickory Alive! is pleased to present the smooth sounds of The Extraordinaires on Friday July 16. Formed in the spring of 2003 from a group of guys who love The Classics/Rhythm & Blues, The Extraordinaires have put together a unique blend of music that is sure to get people out of their seats and on the dance floor. From the powerful kickin’ horns tothe smooth lead vocals, The Extraordinaires have a sound like no other that will keep you coming back.
This annual free event is held every Friday night in June and July in Union Square and features an array of local musical talent. The pre-show begins at 7pm with the main act running from 8pm until 11pm.The Hickory Jaycees and the Hickory Downtown Development Association sponsors this popular event.
Cold adult beverages from United Beverage will be available for adults with proper ID, with proceeds going toward the development of young professionals through the Hickory Junior Chamber (Jaycees). In addition, soda and other non-alcoholic beverages will be on site. Downtown restaurants will be open before, during and after the concert. Several retail businesses will be open during the event.
