Petition to remove the 2011 MLB All Star Game From Arizona

With the debate over the Arizona Immigration Law at a fevered pitch, a new move to hurt the Arizona economy has been announced. Movethegame.org said that they will deliver a petition with 100,000 signatures to Commissioner Bud Selig demanding that he pull the 2011 All Star game from Arizona.

Some groups who support Major League Baseball’s decision to keep the 2011 All Star game in Arizona are starting to pop up. Facebook groups are forming in an effort to support the MLB.

Opposition to the law seems to be intensifying even though support for the bill increases. On July 13th CBS News Poll said that support for the Arizona Immigration Law hit 57%. CBS said that 13% of the respondents think the law doesn’t go far enough, and 23% of the respondents say that the law goes to far. So based on their poll 23% of the respondents say that the law goes to far whereas 70% agree with or think is should go farther. 3% did not know what they thought.
