Bavarian EchoThe Crossville, Tennessee Knights of Columbus are preparing for Oktoberfest – 2010 high atop the Cumberland Plateau.  Reserve the dates of  October 8th and 9th for your dining, dancing and listening pleasure, located at The Knights of Columbus Activity Park, located at 2892 Highway 70 East in Crossville, Tennessee (Exit 322 off I-40, south to Hwy 70, then 1/3 mile east).

Just 4 Fun BandReturning for their 8th year is Virgil Baker and the Just 4 Fun Band, a group from Michigan.  As their name implies, they love to make music and entertain.   While they do cross over and play everything from swing to country to old-time rock ‘n roll, they’re especially fond of polkas and waltzes.  Also returning again this year for their 12th year is the ever popular group, the Rheingold Band from Louisville, Kentucky.  This group of five men has performed at fests all over the Midwest in their traditional lederhosen.  Look for them, with their upbeat tempo, to get the crowd involved both young and old.  The Bavarian Echo, a husband and wife band from Morristown, will provide their specialty of German & Bavarian Music.

Under Big TopAll day and evening long, you will be able to enjoy, once again, the authentic German food that you have come to expect at the Oktoberfest.  Enjoy bratwurst, knackwurst, wiesswurst, pork schnitzel, and kasseler rippchen (smoked pork chop) along with sauerkraut, red cabbage and cinnamon apples.  For dessert, German chocolate cake and cheesecake are available.  Imported and domestic beverages are also available.

The Knights of Columbus started the Oktoberfest in Crossville 20 years ago, and it has become a yearly event that is anxiously awaited by many throughout middle and east Tennessee.  Oktoberfest in Crossville has been rated by many as the most authentic Oktoberfest they have attended.

So if you want to dance to the best German bands in the country, eat the best German food in the land, or just come out and watch the festivities, Oktoberfest in Crossville is the place to be RAIN OR SHINE! All activities are under cover.
