Home Tweet Home Birdhouse Exhibition and Event September 25 and 26
Habitat for Humanity of Catawba Valley and the Hickory Museum of Art are excited to announce a partnership to host the “Home Tweet Home” Birdhouse exhibition and event!
The two-day event begins on Friday, September 25, 2009 with a preview party and auction at the Hickory Museum of Art located in the SALT Block at 243 3rd Avenue NE in Hickory,NC. Made possible though the generous donations from Valdese Weavers and Catawba Valley Medical Center, Friday night’s event will include a live and silent auction of artisan birdhouses and will feature food, drinks and live music from the Possum Holler Band. Early bird tickets to the event are $20 and available at the HMA Shop or the Habitat Home Store. Tickets will also be available at the door the night of the event for $30/ticket.
The event concludes on Saturday September 26th with a Family Day and Birdhouse Sale from 10am – 2pm. This free event will include an introduction to bird watching, bird calling demonstrations and an opportunity to build a gourd birdhouse. There will also be birdhouses and other bird related items for sale. The Family Day Event will be held at the Coe Gallery and the lawn of the Hickory Museum of Art.FREE Admission
