Christmas Model Train Display 2012 from the Transportation Museum of the World
TRANSPORTATION MUSEUM OF THE WORLD® CREATES WINTER WONDERVILLE 2011
The Transportation Museum of the World is proud to announce that we will be locating our the Miniature World of Trains O Scale Model Train Christmas Display this year to the Fountain Inn, SC History Center. It will be open during selected dates in November and December.
At press time the layout will be feature a 12′x32′ O Scale Model Christmas Themed Model Train Display, a Department 56 Style Christmas Village, Animated Amusement Park, 4 tracks of continually operating O Scale Trains featuring the Polar Express(R), Thomas the Tank(R) and Harry Potter’s Hogwarts Express(R) as well as many other trains.

The new larger display is being created with the help of presenting sponsors Lowes and epartment 56 and returning sponsors from the 2011 Children’s Museum Display, Williams by Bachmann, Lionel and Blue Ridge Hobbies.
The new Christmas Display still needs support with more Department 56 Christmas Village style buildings and scenery. These items can be donated by local business’ or loaned to the project during its duration and returned after the displays run. Also, construction materials are needed to help create the new display as well as two 6 to 8 foot artificial Christmas Trees that are needed.
Volunteers are needed to complete the new display as well as help with operations during the displays operating hours.
Last years attendance for the Spirit Of Christmas Past Event attracted 25,000 according to the City of Fountain Inn. We fully expect a higher attendance with the addition of the Miniature World of Trains Model Train Display.
