Who’s Catawba Valley’s Biggest Turkey?

Fundraiser to Support The Women’s Resource Center

Womens Resource CenterHelp raise money and awareness for the Women’s Resource Center by voting for “Who’s Catawba Valley’s Biggest Turkey?”  Vote for Lisa Forte, Denise Fillip, Freedom the Buffalo, Brenda Taylor, Ralph Doemberg, Sue Medes or Kristy Bolch and Kelly Farr by going to http://www.wrchickory.org/, clicking on your choice and donating to the WRC.

The winner will be crowned at the Turkey Roast Ball to be held Saturday, November 13, 2010 from 6 to 11 pm at the Crowne Plaza in Hickory.  You will be able to “shake your tail feathers” with the music of local rock band 20/20 and enjoy a delicious buffet meal.  Come out and show your support!  Tickets are $50.00 each with $25.00 being a tax-deductible donation to WRC.  The Crowne Plaza is located at 1385 Lenoir Rhyne Blvd. Se Hickory, NC.

Another fundraiser for the WRC will take place at Taste Full Beans Coffeehouse Gallery on Saturday, November 6 from 9:00 am to noon.  Stop by and taste the new products from Boresha International – B Skinny Thermogenic Fat-Burning Coffee & Tea.
During this fundraiser, raffle tickets to win gift certificates from local merchants will be available.  Ticket prices are $2 for one ticket and $5 for three tickets.  All proceed from the raffle will go to support the WRC.  Thanks to ACE Hardware – Viewmont, Taste Full Beans Coffeehouse Gallery, Shenandoah Gold, Affordable Suites, Bob Evans, Carrabba’s Italian Grill, Chick-fil-A, JK Enterprises, The Legal Buzz and Therapeutic Techniques for their support.

TFB’s is located at 29 2nd St. NW in downtown Hickory.

In addition, Mountain First Bank will be raffling off a GPS System and Warehouse 2120 in Viewmont has unique cork Christmas Ornaments for sale.  All proceeds from both will go to the WRC.

The mission of Women’s Resource Center is to improve the lives of women and empower them to achieve their fullest potential.
