The twelfth annual Castle of Cans Food Drive, the charitable component of Hickory’s Oktoberfest, was a great success again this year. Thirteen local schools, from elementary through college, and a few churches collected more than 14,000 pounds of canned food.

Students from twelve area schools- elementary through college- are beginning to collect cans of food for the eleventh annual Castle of Cans Food Drive, a part of Hickory’s Oktoberfest celebration October 9 – 11.
Students will collect food for area food pantries and soup kitchens.
