College Football Hall of Fame Relocates to Atlanta

The College Football Hall of Fame has announced that the attraction will relocate to Atlanta in September 2012.
The new location will be on the edge of Centennial Olympic Park in Downtown, an area that has become Atlanta’s anchor for tourism activity. In the past five years, more than $214 million in new attractions have sprung up around the park, creating a walkable ring of attractions and elevating Atlanta as a top tourism destination. Atlanta to host 2012 NCAA South Regional tournament

The NCAA® Men’s Basketball Committee selected Atlanta to host the South Regional in 2012 as part of its preparation for the Final Four at the Georgia Dome in 2013. The tournament will attract more than 100,000 fans to the Georgia Dome and Atlanta from March 23-25, 2012 and will have an estimated economic impact of more than $27 million for the city.
