To See with Words 2010

Full Circle Arts invites the public to an Opening Reception for “To See with Words” on April 15, 2010 from 6:30 to 8:30. “To See With Words” is an exhibition where area writers are invited to interpret artworks by local artists with short writings, such as poems or essays. Writers participating are high school and college students as well as professionals.

Call for Artists Downtown Hickory Art Crawl

The Downtown Hickory Art Crawl Series is looking for a limited number of artists to participate during the May 20, 2010 and September 16, 2010 Art Crawls.
The Art Crawls will be from 5:30 to 9:00 pm at various businesses and art galleries in Downtown Hickory. There is no fee involved for the artists. Artists may keep all of the monies made from any sales. Demonstrations are strongly encouraged. Swinging Under The Stars Named Best Special Event in NC

The North Carolina Main Street Center named Swinging Under The Stars—A Tribute to the Big Band Era as the Best Downtown Special Event during the NC Main Street Conference in New Bern.  Accepting the award from the NC Secretary of Commerce during the Annual Awards Dinner were Tracy Nestor, 2009 President of Hickory Downtown Development Association, and musician Rick Cline.

Call for Artists Art in the Shop 12th Annual Art Show

Art in the Shop is seeking artists interested in showing at the Eleventh Annual Art in the Shop.  This unique venue is located at the Shop, in Bethlehem NC, studio of metal artist Richard Sinclair.  The area is a fairly level grassy six-acre area with plenty of free customer parking.  The show encompasses artwork of all varieties, but is fast becoming a well-known venue for folk and outsider artists.  Also featured will be bonsai, sculpture, paintings, photography, jewelry, pottery, garden art and much, much more.  We are only looking for …
