Hickory Oktoberfest Celebrates 25 Years!

Oktoberfest - Hickory, North Carolina

Hickory’s Oktoberfest is celebrating its Silver Anniversary with three days of fun, food, games, crafts, vendors and a stellar line up of entertainment!

With five stages, the entertainment schedule will have something for everyone.  The Main Stage will host Sol Driven Train as the Friday night headliner and Acoustic Syndicate as the Saturday headliner, along with a wealth of local and regional entertainment.  Back this year is the popular Teen Stage, where local kids can get out of the garage and get on stage.  The Pavilion Stage will feature more local and regional music, along with Oktoberfest favorite, the Foothills Oompah Band.  The Singer/Songwriter stage will host up and coming musicians.  In the Kidsfest area, young dancers and performers will make their parents proud!

Oktoberfest guyYoung and old alike will enjoy the Kidsfest area with amusement rides and games.  Look for the Castle of Cans in the Kidsfest Area.  Help fight hunger in Catawba County by donating food to build the Castle of Cans-the Castle of Caring.  Area churches, civic organizations, businesses and individuals are encouraged to participate.

Parents and children alike will enjoy the fine craftspeople bringing handmade Arts & Crafts to Union Square Commons.  Artisans will be selling items such as pottery, jewelry, glass, fabrics, paintings and wood crafting, just to name a few.

Commercial vendors will fill Second Street with a wide variety of merchandise ranging from sunglasses to handmade soaps to imported woodwork.

When you need a break from the excitement, there will be over 70 different treats, goodies and great food offered by the many food vendors located in the Pepsi Food Court.  Here you will find everything from authentic German food to funnel cake.

Oktoberfest will be open Friday, October 8, from 12:00 p.m.-11:30 p.m., Saturday, October 9, from 10:00 a.m.-11:30 p.m. and Sunday, October 10, from 12:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. in downtown Hickory.  Make Downtown Hickory your destination the second weekend in October!
